Creative pink inspiration welcomes guests in October as The Peninsula Paris supports the Art of Pink campaign for breast cancer awareness. All month, an interactive pink-themed artwork by Chinese photographic artist Chen Man and rose-hued dining and spa experiences delight guests and raise funds for CEW France Beauty Centres, which provide free beauty therapies for cancer patients in hospitals. Illuminated in pink, the beautiful 19th-century hotel façade adds extra romance to the Parisian evening skyline.
This year’s “Peninsula In Pink” campaign sees The Peninsula Paris partnering with Chen Man to present Vision-Golden Fish Goblin, an exclusive piece from her “Nao Nao” (挠挠)art series for The Peninsula Hotels. Guests are invited to personally interact with this innovative exhibition and create a new dialogue about breast cancer.
Vision-Golden Fish Goblin epitomises Chen Man’s ability to create photographic art that closely resembles paintings, and symbolises that feminine strength is a universal concept to be cherished. The artwork is covered by two pink sphere: symbols of breasts and a colon, and visitors can purchase a traditional Chinese nao nao bamboo stick to gently remove the dots and unveil the full image.
The auction of Vision-Golden Fish Goblin by Chen Man will be available for bidding at Paddle8 from 17 – 31 October 2016, and proceeds from the auction of the artwork will be donated to CEW France Beauty Centres.
During October, guests can directly contribute to the free restorative beauty treatments provided for patients in need by trained socio-aesthetic therapists. For every room or suite night booking, The Peninsula Paris will make a donation to CEW France Beauty Centres.
Pastel-shaded guest experiences abound all month. At Le Lobby restaurant, every Peninsula in Pink Afternoon Tea or Pink Afternoon Tea paired with a glass of Rosé Champagne generates a charitable a donation, and each luxurious Balinese massage at The Peninsula Spa helps provide much-needed support for the life-changing work of CEW France Beauty Centres.
A message of support for breast cancer patients is also conveyed via The Peninsula Paris’ fleet of limousines, which are adorned with a vibrant Peninsula in Pink logo all month. Our hotel staff also wear a specially created pink ribbon lapel pin, and guests can purchase their own pink ribbon pin to wear with pride.
