Meticulously designed to give our guests unique and unprecedented access to historical, cultural and local lifestyle experiences in each Peninsula destination, The Peninsula Academy offers a collection of bespoke programmes for both adults and children. With the perfect balance of lifestyle and culture, The Peninsula Paris’ Academy gives exclusive access to some of the city’s most fascinating locations and cultural gems.
Tailored especially for younger members of the family, or a special mother and daughter experience, this programme takes you on a journey of one of the five senses – that of “the nose” – which in French means “an expert maker of perfume”. France has always been known for its expertise in the creation of exquisite and luxurious scents. Through this Peninsula Academy experience, you will learn how to select all the right ingredients to blend your own unique scent, in almost the same way that Coco Chanel created her famed No. 5 perfume many years ago.Make an Enquiry
To make things even more fragrant, the perfume-making experience is combined with a special soap-making class at The Peninsula Spa, to create long-lasting memories of your visit.
This unique combination of classes offers “budding noses” the opportunity to create a totally unique gift from Paris, or just simply something beautiful to remember it by.
Versailles is home to one of the world’s most famous and opulent palaces. Guests of The Peninsula Paris are offered a once-in-a-lifetime exclusive opportunity to visit this grand estate and its grounds in true Peninsula style.
A Rolls-Royce will transport guests to Versailles for a private, behind-the-scenes tour, which includes areas that are normally closed to the public, including the former living quarters of King Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette.
A gourmet Peninsula picnic can be arranged on the vast grounds of Versailles or in colder months, guests can return to the hotel and enjoy a dinner fit for a King or Queen either in your Suite or in one of our private salons.
Travel in style by choice of helicopter, Rolls-Royce Phantom or BMW to the heart of the Champagne region and the House of Deutz, producer of one of the world’s finest champagnes and partner to The Peninsula Hotels worldwide.
The day begins with an exclusive tour of the cellars, normally closed to the public, and a rendezvous with the winemaker to learn about the art of making champagne. Participants will then proceed to the vineyards to catch a glimpse of the grapes growing in their natural habitat.
This unique experience includes an elegant lunch prepared in the House dining room, where the menu will be offered alongside a selection of pairings with Deutz’ best vintages.
Guests will then be whisked back to the hotel in true Peninsula style and comfort.
A true gem of a landmark in the centre of Paris is the famed Opera Garnier. An astounding architectural feat, the majestic building was constructed between 1861 and 1875 for the Paris Opera, and it remains one of the world’s most famed opera houses.
Guests will be transported from the hotel to the Place de l’Opera for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour with an expert curator and historian, which includes a small museum that houses a selection of works by artist and sculptor Edgar Degas, who left no wing, classroom, or backstage space of the Opera Garnier untouched.
Following the tour, participants will attend a glittering opera performance followed by a post-show dinner at the hotel.
This programme offers a unique way to see some of the most fascinating and beautiful parts of Paris through a fun-filled game of investigation that is based around following a series of clues placed at different locations around the city. It’s almost like playing the role of the fictional character Inspector Jacques Clouseau from the famed ‘Pink Panther’ series, who was known as France’s greatest detective, but who was only able to solve a case through a series of bizarre accidents!Make an Enquiry
Of course, an Inspector always needs a smart assistant, so a professional guide will help lead participants to the locations of the clues, which could lie anywhere from the fashionable neighbourhood of Saint-Sulpice to the scenic greenery of the Jardin du Luxembourg. And as with every good detective, whoever solves the mystery will win a special Peninsula prize for their efforts.
The Peninsula Paris’ youngest guests can indulge in a delicious day with the ‘Fun With Chocolate’ Peninsula Academy programme, an interactive culinary class conducted by the hotel's pastry team.
This class offers a sneak peek into the secrets of the creation of The Peninsula’s famed chocolate recipes. Your Little Baker is met by our Pastry Chef, for a tour of the kitchen and a meet and greet with the pastry department staff where they’ll learn how Chef and the team create their dessert masterpieces each day.
The Pastry chef will teach young ones the basic techniques and methods of chocolate making, demonstrate some of his expert culinary skills, and give class members a chance to hand-make their own chocolate. During the class, chefs will be happy to pose with the young chocolatiers and their parents for photos.
Each participant will also receive a Pen Kids apron, a box of chocolates and a recipe book by which to remember this special occasion.
Children and their parents can indulge in our famed Peninsula Afternoon Tea following the class.
